Become a ÇïϼÂ×Àí Tax Volunteer for the 2024 Season!
One of the best ways to help ÇïϼÂ×Àí this coming year is by signing up for our Tax Volunteer program. Last year, we provided $6 million in tax refunds to our local community. That remarkable effort was only possible with the assistance of volunteers like you!
Sign up for one of ÇïϼÂ×Àí’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Tax Preparer Training sessions.
During these sessions, you will receive training to provide free tax help for low- to moderate-income families who need assistance preparing their 2023 tax returns. As a volunteer, you will join the thousands of others who prepare millions of tax returns at thousands of tax sites nationwide each year. We have roles as Greeters (this is a vital role) and Basic/Advanced Volunteer Tax Preparers. Successful completion of Basic Training Part I and II is required for those who would like to volunteer as a Basic Tax Preparer.
Each session will culminate with a test to become certified as a Tax Preparer. (Attendance is only required at one training or until you can become certified).
